Through the generosity of The Stollery Charitable Foundation, the BC Interior Community Foundation (BCICF) disbursed a $12,030 grant to the Kamloops Food Bank on October 20, 2020. The funding was provided from The Stollery Charitable Foundation Fund, which is held and administered by the BC Interior Community Foundation.  BCICF is truly grateful for the incredible commitment The Stollery Foundation has to meet the health and wellness needs of Kamloops area residents.

Bernadette Siracky, Kamloops Food Bank Executive Director notes, “The Stollery Foundation is authentic, involved and truly focussed on supporting the needs of the entire community. The Directors of this foundation ensure that the needs of the charities they support are met and check in to have timely and meaningful conversations about evolving requirements – especially during challenging times.  We recently experienced unprecedented vandalism and within 24 hours received a communication from the Stollery Foundation asking how they could support us through the situation.  We count our organization, our clients and our community lucky to be on their radar. Their impact not just to the Kamloops Food Bank but dozens of not for profits in our community is truly immeasurable. Thank you for your commitment to our community.”

President of the BC Interior Community Foundation, Rob Lemire notes that “[We] are grateful for the financial support provided by The Stollery Foundation and the partnerships they’ve established in Kamloops. It’s through this type of cooperative response to crises that make a real difference in the lives of our friends and neighbours in need.”
