Established in Memory of Marg Spina by her family to honour her legacy of community involvement.

Marg Spina was a long time Kamloops resident who served two and a half terms as Kamloops City Councillor.  Throughout her many years of community work and as past BC Regional Manager of Consumer Affairs, Marg was known for her positive energy and work ethic. In 1992 Marg received the Governor General 125 medal for creating Giant Steps Autism Therapy Program (Now the Chris Rose Therapy Centre for Autism), and a BC Community Achievement award in 2006 for creating innovative working partnerships through the Kamloops Food Bank Food Share program. She served 6 years as a Minister of Health Public Appointment to the CLPNBC College Board.

Marg was an exceptional and gifted human being. She was a remarkable inspiration to her family and the many people she influenced at so many different levels.

Her legacy to her family, friends and the community she loved is profound and will last with us forever.
