The Cil Street Memorial Fund is a tribute to the enduring legacy of an extraordinary individual, Cecilia (Cil) Street, who dedicated 20 years of her life to elementary education, driven by her profound passion for children and learning.

The Cil Street Memorial Fund began with a thoughtful Christmas gift from Terri Mochikas’s partner, Vessy, inspired by an idea from their adult child, Thea. Terri established the fund in Cil’s memory, creating a lasting way to honour her sister’s compassion and commitment to children, families, and animals.
Despite personal struggles, Cil remained a steadfast advocate for women’s rights and a compassionate supporter of homeless animals, having adopted numerous dogs and cats in need. Her work with Indigenous children and families reflects her unwavering dedication to fostering inclusivity and understanding.
This endowed fund stands as a lasting tribute to Cil’s love for education, compassion for others, and her advocacy for a better world.
