The Lloyd & Rae Nixon Endowed Fund, established in 2015, reflects the Nixons’ dedication to fostering artistic talent and supporting community arts. Each year, the fund provides two $1,000 scholarships, one for Music and one for Fine Arts, with flexibility to award both scholarships in the same discipline if no applications are received for the other. Administered by School District #73, these scholarships must be claimed by December 31 of the year following their award.

Additionally, the fund supports the Kamloops Music Collective and the Kamloops Festival of the Performing Arts. Further extending its impact, the fund provides community project grants for arts organizations and initiatives. Together, these contributions honour the Nixons’ vision of empowering students and enriching the arts within the Kamloops’ community.
