Scholarship Application

Program Description

There are two $1,000.00 scholarships available annually to provide financial assistance to students who wish to continue their studies towards a degree in Music and Fine Arts. The applicants must be enrolled in at least the second year of their program at a recognized degree granting institution within Canada. The applicants must have earlier graduated from a secondary school within School Districts #58, #73 & #74 in British Columbia. There will be one annual award in each discipline of $1,000.00, should suitable candidates apply.

• Have graduated from a secondary school within school districts #58, #72 or #74.
• Be pursuing a degree in Music or Fine Arts at a degree granting institution within Canada.
• Be registered for the second year, or later, in a degree granting institution within Canada.

• Complete the application form and application letter requested.
• Attach your most recent academic results.

The successful applicant(s) will have the award credited to the applicant’s account at the degree granting institution within Canada upon proof of enrollment being submitted by the institution to the
BC Interior Community Foundation, #2 -219 Victoria Street, Kamloops, BC. V2C 2A1 (Phone 250-434-6995) Please Note: The award must be claimed by December 31st of the year it is awarded.

This application requires that you write a letter outlining your goals once you complete your degree. Include a copy of your previous year’s academic results as well verification of graduation from either School District #58, #73 or #74. All applications must be received in the BC Interior Community Foundation office by March 1st. The applications will be reviewed and award winners announced by the end of May.
