The Archie and Dorothy McLaughlin Memorial Bursary Fund was created by Don and Alice McLaughlin to honour the memory of Don’s parents. Raised in Clinton, BC, Don witnessed his father, Archie, serve as a dedicated school trustee and learned from both parents the importance of education and community. Dorothy was a pillar of the Clinton community, serving in many volunteer roles throughout her life, and was honoured as Clinton Citizen of the Year.

This bursary supports students from Clinton who demonstrate financial need and are pursuing post-secondary studies in the trades or sciences. By reducing financial barriers, the fund helps local students pursue their goals while carrying forward Archie and Dorothy’s legacy of service and opportunity.
