RESPONSIVE GRANTS
BCICF Natural Disaster Relief Grant
The BCICF Natural Disaster Relief Fund was established to support charities and non-profit organizations in the Thompson, Nicola, and South Cariboo regions as they respond to the impacts of natural disasters, including extreme heat, wildfires, and floods.
Through grants of up to $5,000 per intake cycle, the fund helps organizations address disaster-related recovery needs that may not be met through standard government or insurance programs.
Funding may support a wide range of needs, from replacing tools and equipment to project-based activities that help organizations recover, rebuild, and continue serving their communities after disaster-related events. These grants are intended to support renewal, revitalization, and long-term community resilience.
Grant intake will be open summer of 2026 with an application deadline of October 1.
“Natural disasters affect communities long after the immediate crisis has passed. This fund helps local charities and non-profit organizations respond to practical recovery needs, continue their work, and support the people and places that make our region strong.”
