After witnessing the lasting impact the Baccalaureate program at NorKam Secondary School had on their three children, James and Anne Baughan asked a simple question: How can we give back in a way that lasts?
Their answer was the creation of the Baughan Family Award Fund. Established to support graduating students and strengthen the Baccalaureate program at NorKam Secondary School, the fund recognizes the value of an educational experience that challenges students to think critically, engage globally, and grow as leaders.
Through this award, the Baughan family celebrates the program that helped shape their own children’s paths while helping future graduates pursue their ambitions. The fund stands as a lasting expression of gratitude for the teachers, mentors, and opportunities that make the Baccalaureate program such a meaningful part of the NorKam community.

Completing the IBDP involves endeavouring a journey of self-discovery. This program helped shape me into who I am today, by encouraging me to adapt and learn how to take advantage of my strengths and overcome my weaknesses. Its impact was beyond academics, and helped me grow as a friend, athlete and as a leader. Supporting this program means creating more opportunities for students to experience a life-changing program and join the life-long family that I am now lucky enough to be a part of.
