For over 35 years, the Children’s Therapy & Family Resource Centre (CTFRC) has been committed to supporting children with a range of developmental strengths and needs and the families who care for and advocate for them.
We are a registered non-profit society in good standing and proudly CARF-accredited, committed to ensuring every child is fully included in their community — at home, in childcare, at school, and in everyday life.
Our services include: Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech & Language Therapy, Supported Child Development, Behaviour Intervention, Family Service Navigation and Assessments and resources for children and families.
Why We Created the CTFRC Children’s Equipment Fund
Raising a child with unique needs often requires specialized equipment — walkers, communication devices, adaptive seating, and more. These tools can cost thousands of dollars and often need to be replaced or modified as a child grows.
The CTFRC Children’s Equipment Fund was created to:
- Step in when no other help is available
- Provide families with the tools their children need to move, play, and thrive
- Create a cycle of giving, as outgrown equipment is donated back to help another child
With your support, a child may take their first independent steps, find their voice through communication technology, or simply experience the joy of play.

How You Can Help
Every donation to our Fund makes a difference:
- $50 provides therapy resources for a child
- $100 supports modifications to adaptive equipment
- $250 contributes toward life-changing mobility or communication tools
No matter the size, your gift brings hope and possibility to children and families in our community.
