Fund Types: Student Award

The Kamloops Museum Association Scholarship Fund was originally established as The Heritage Fund in 1994 by Paddy Harrington, a dedicated member of the Kamloops Museum Association. Its initial purpose was to support organizations and students engaged in the research and preservation of local history. However, in 2007, following the dissolution of the Kamloops Museum Association, the fund’s name and purpose were revised to offer a scholarship in honour of the Association’s legacy. The Association intended to commemorate 70 years of community service dedicated to building the Museum and Archives.

Today, the fund supports graduating students from School District #73 who plan to pursue post-secondary education in a history program.
