The Katherine McParland Memorial Bursary has been created to support youth who have experienced
homelessness and/or foster care. Katherine was a tireless advocate for youth at risk, she was a passionate
visionary who imagined that one day, if we all work together, we could end youth homelessness. This fund has
been created in Katherine’s memory to continue spreading her vision of helping youth to reach their full
potential. This bursary will be awarded to youth who are looking to improve their lives through post secondary
education that will help them gain independence and reach their goals.
All bursary applications should be directed to A Way Home Kamloops Society, by December 1st.
