Shana Megan Budnaryk was preparing to enter her third year of nursing when her life was tragically cut short in a car accident. She is remembered for her “mega-watt” smile, infectious joy, and warm, loving nature.

The Shana Megan Budnaryk Memorial Bursary was established by her parents, Jim and Donna Budnaryk, with generous contributions from friends, family, and co-workers who came together in support after her sudden passing. This bursary reflects Shana’s spirit and values, awarded to students from Kamloops and the surrounding area pursuing careers in nursing. Recipients are selected based on financial need, academic achievement, and community service.

Through this bursary, Shana’s passion for helping others lives on in the next generation of dedicated healthcare professionals.
