In a poignant homage to his late wife, Colleen Gropp, Brent Gropp has recently introduced an initiative poised to make a lasting impact on the community they both held dear. The Colleen Gropp “Strongest Dandelion” Memorial Award, established through the BC Interior Community Foundation (BCICF), seeks to commemorate resilience, community service, and the enduring spirit that defined Colleen’s life.

Brent is pleased to share that the award will be bestowed upon deserving students annually. The School District #73 Awards Committee, working closely with high school counsellors, will carefully select recipients. This collaborative effort guarantees the award’s seamless integration into the educational community by recognizing and honouring the qualities that were dear to Colleen.

Acknowledging a small group of close friends who offered invaluable advice and guidance throughout the process, Brent asserts that their support has been pivotal in shaping the concept into reality. His vision is to elevate the fund to a level that will generate an annual award of $3,500, ensuring a meaningful impact on the recipients’ lives.

To support this initiative and contribute to its success, please share the donation link with friends, family, and colleagues. Every contribution, regardless of size, will contribute to the legacy of the Colleen Gropp “Strongest Dandelion” Memorial Award.
